Stress Tolerance
Enhanced Stress Tolerance
Mendel has developed a range of technology for stabilizing the yield of plants in the face of environmental stress, including abiotic factors such as water limitation and biotic pressures such as fungal pathogens. As such we have a range of technologies under active development for traits including: drought tolerance, cold or heat tolerance, freezing tolerance, nutrient use efficiency and disease resistance. We further expect additional factors such as salinity tolerance and ozone tolerance to become increasingly important as climate change becomes more intense. We therefore anticipate developing transcription factor applications to address a widening range of different stress conditions in the future.
